About

Award Winning Team

Welcome

Team Fusion allows students to become fully immersed in an environment of dedicated, like-minded students interested in engineering while acquiring the necessary skills to achieve their future goals. Not only do members acquire technical skill sets, they also learn the fundamentals of other corporate tasks, such as project management, leadership, team building, marketing, etc. More important than any competitive success or awards, the students of Team 364 grow academically, intellectually, and socially. Team 364 inspires and motivates our students to avidly pursue their academic, career, and personal goals both during their time on the team and in their futures.

Mission Statement

The mission of Team Fusion Robotics is to mobilize future leaders by providing a diversity of opportunities, engaging heavily in community involvement, and breaking through comfort zones, all while involving real-world experiences.

Team history

Team Fusion was formed in 1999 in Gulfport, MS at Gulfport High School. Mr. David Fava, who created the first robotics team in Mississippi, was Team Fusion’s original coach. In 2000, with only 19 students and 9 mentors, Team Fusion competed in its first FRC game Double Trouble. With the addition of the renewed engineering program as a part of the school’s STEM academy, the team has experienced an influx of interest in recent years.
